Rose Morrison Sexual Trauma Center Direct Services Coordinator Rose receives the crisis phone calls from survivors of sexual assault. In addition, she also accompanies survivors to the emergency rooms at the Anderson Area Medical Center (AnMed) and Oconee Memorial hospital. Rose also helps survivors connect with the services to help them through the healing process. Beyond working with survivors, she also coordinates Foothills Alliance Sexual Trauma Center volunteers. Volunteers undergo training that equips them to field crisis calls or accompany survivors to the emergency room. Rose is responsible for conducting the volunteer training on a quarterly basis. Rose received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from Anderson University. While enrolled at AU, she served as an intern with Foothills Alliance's Prevent Child Abuse program. Following this internship, she served in an administrative capacity for a rehabilitation hospital in Florence, SC. Presented with the opportunity, Rose returned to Foothills Alliance in March of 2005 as a full-time staff member in the Sexual Trauma Center. She has strong convictions concerning the support and encouragement of those who have survived sexual violence. Rose and her husband currently reside in Anderson with their two dogs. She is committed to the cause of social justice, which entails advocacy for all victims of violence and oppression, beyond but including those who are victims of sexual violence.
